Meet our delightful Lily, (also known as 'The Princess'!), our first homebred girl.  Although her parents are no longer with us, her pedigree contains some of the UK's most illustrious dogs and bloodlines. She has an affable and gentle disposition and one of her favourite pastimes is seeking out tennis balls on a walk and bringing them to you!

She had an amazing start to her show career and was fortunate to gain 1CC and 2 Res CC's at a very young age. Her notable awards in her first year of showing were:

 1CC, 2 Res CC's. Top GSP Puppy Bitch 2009

Winner of Puppy group at Bournemouth Ch Show.

BPIS at GSPA Championship and Open shows,  Junior Warrant.

Unfortunately, after her promising start, Lily was then out of the ring for 3 years as she developed a challenging Auto Immune disorder, (Thrombocytopenia), where her immune system becomes confused and destroys her blood platelets which are essential for blood clotting.  She had also started gundog work, but this obviously all came to an abrupt halt too.

However, in February 2013 she relapsed and had to undergo treatment again . It generally takes around 6-8 months of aggressive steroid levels for her her immune system to be suppressed and start working correctly again, this treatment has serious side effects to contend with, but fortunately our Princess battled through and she achieved remission again by August 2013.

Lily reached the amazing milestone of being 15 in August 2023 and ironically rarely has a days illness, remains in remission and is currently a very happy and healthy Princess!  She made a few appearances as a Veteran in the show ring and was Best Veteran at both the GSPC and GSPA Open shows in 2015. She makes us laugh every day as when she thinks she should be getting her tea, she goes in the utility room and brings out all the boots and parades round with them, hoping we'll notice her and feed her! This can be anything from 2pm! It will certainly be a sad day when she goes over the rainbow bridge but for now, she's loving life, enjoys her daily potters and is totally spoilt, as she should be.
