FONDLY REMEMBERED

ARANY'S ANYA MIT DRYSIKA

(ANYA)

We sadly said a final goodbye to Anya in July 2019 at the amazing age of 16 and a half, she will remain forever in our hearts.

Anya was our endearing German Longhaired Pointer from the top working and show Arany kennel in Oxfordshire. Anya has been the most practical all round working dog that anyone could wish to have, as well as having the sweetest temperament imaginable.

She was bought primarily for her potential skills in the field and although she was shown successfully as a youngster and was Best GLP puppy in 2003 and Best Rare Breeds overall in 2004, she didn't really enjoy it so retired gracefully from the show ring!

She excelled as a picking up dog and always found any wayward birds at the end of the drives, conversely she was a competent and reliable rough shooting dog and entering water was never an issue with her, getting out of it was more of a problem at times!

She gained many admirers along the way, not only for her working ability but for her lovely 'joie de vivre' attitude to everything! Allan and Anya had so many happy days together, especially on the grouse moor and we really do miss her so very much.

IN MEMORY OF OUR CHAMPION WILDPOINT WAFFLE JW (TIKA)

'Gone from our lives but forever in our hearts'

Drysika was home to our lovely Champion Wildpoint Waffle who was a wonderful GSP for us. She was sired by Sh Ch Bryburn the Snob out of Sh Ch Midlander Mi Mudle. She enjoyed a successful show and working career and gained 4 CC's (including Crufts 2002) and 3 Res CC's. The real icing on the cake was in Tika's versatility as working gundog and was worked on grouse, pheasant and partridge and played a great role, not only being shot over but for counting, beating and picking up and gained 4 Field Trial awards as well as winning 7 Open working tests along the way.

To gain that coveted crown of Champion with Tika was a fantastic achievement, Tika will never be forgotten and will always live on in our affix. Happy hunting Squeaky!

JENNALINE HATSIE POLLINGS AT DRYSIKA  JW

(Sh Ch Keigame Chiff Chaff of Benachitti ex Sh Ch Jennaline Peggies A'Graysin JW)

We said an unexpected goodbye to our lovely Hattie at the untimely age of 7. She had an inoperable tumour and we had to let her go to the 'rainbow bridge'. Hattie was a real personality and as well as being a reliable dog on shoot days, she was a successful show dog and gained 5 Reserve CC's and was a qualifier for the prestigious Pup of the Year Final. She also won both Novice and Puppy working tests and was graded on both Pheasant and Partridge We will always remember her in her daughter Lily as they have some similar traits, namely being the greediest GSP's we've ever come across!

Most of all, Hattie was a much loved and treasured member of our family and we greatly miss her. Happy hunting Battie Boo!
