We are Allan and Catherine Drysdale and for over 25 years we both worked as Guide Dog Mobility Instructors so it's fair to say that we understand and have some knowledge of dogs! We recently moved to North Lincolnshire and are enjoying time with our lovely dogs. We are long standing members of the German Pointer Club, the German Pointer Association and the Central and Southern German Pointer Society. Catherine has awarded Challenge Certificates at Championship shows 3 times and will be doing them again in 2024. Allan is eagerly looking forward to his 1st Championship show judging appointment in 2023.
In the past, Allan has enjoyed training the dogs to be productive and competitive gundogs whilst Catherine has mainly shown the dogs. However, for the future, he may look towards other disciplines and competitive avenues with them, namely in the form of Nose Work (thenationalnoseworkassociation.co.uk) and an activity called UK Dog Sport.(UK Dog Sport - smartk9's.co.uk).
Catherine has recently reignited her Agility training with Freya as unfortunately Foxy sustained an injury which has now precluded her from being a show dog. You can read more about them on their pages.
Our affix Drysika, comes from a combination of our surname and our first Champion whose pet name was Tika.
